Report

Again the weather was beautiful, although it was in the 40s as the base of the climb when I got there to chalk. But by go time, the sun had hit the base and it was quite pleasant. There was some tree trimming blocking one of the lanes at one spot, but I think no one got slowed by that. Awesome.

Matthew P-B P G took first again. And Shai was #2, also breaking 20 minutes. In fact Matthew has been 1st every time he showed up other than Montebello.

Andrea I. moved into 1st overall, being, sadly the only woman who did 2 events! Good job Andrea!

We had several long-time low-keyers show up for the first time including Dino L, and that was awesome too.

As you know Frank moved the group Hamilton start up to Sunday morning, the day after and I think he will have some follow up for that one.

You can still do Hamilton [until 11/30/2019 5PM], it's just we suspect you need to do it in the snow! Otherwise, the ULKHC season is pretty much wrapped up. Thanks and good job to everyone. It means so much to me that we are keeping the tradition alive. Frank and I are going to try to do a better job of marketing next year. I definitely ran across a couple remarks are strava that were in the line of "Wait. Low Key is back? How do I find out." And I was like "Well, check the facebook group or the strava group or the Yahoo group which will lead you to the google email group...."

For marketing, our one main goal is to get the climbs picked out by September and get the web site up to be a rallying point. I will also consistently post to the strava group. If you have more ideas, let me know.

We should have one or two more posts about Hamilton and the 2019 overall.

Aside from that, over and out,
