It was a battle to the finish on Mt. Hamilton! Eric Albrecht rode Tracy's wheel to the finish. Newcomer Laura Mullin displayed awesome power (1:22:21!) sending a chill through the ranks of the battling women (and men). Will we see Laura next year? AV barely hangs on to win the team title (again) while Tracy and Julie Colwell win the individual categories. Team TNT, and others, say "just wait until next year!" Many battles were decided on this day, as Cornelia Fletcher overtook Caroline Stronck for the 2nd women's overall position. One hundred and sixteen Low-Keyers celebrated Thanksgiving together in slightly chilly, but dry conditions. It's been a great series! Let's do it again next year!

Thank you to our volunteers (Judy Colwell, Lynne Truong, Jen Corliss, and Jim McCoy) for helping us make this an enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday!

Overview

All of the painfully steep climbs are now behind you, so let us give thanks today, on Thanksgiving, by cycling this long (about 19 miles), yet gently rolling, beauty. For those of you who are truly racing, beware! The rolling hills of Mt. Hamilton, along with the picturesque scenery, may actually cause you to relax (and even enjoy) this holiday ride. Relax on Thanksgiving? What a novel concept. Also, while some will choose to just enjoy the holiday, others will be slugging it out in the arena. Last year, some ongoing battles between fierce rivals (teams and individuals both) were decided on this mountain--on the final day. Come on out and you won't feel guilty stuffing your face later.
